A Tale of Two Presidents

On November 15, 2008, Joseph P. d’Entremont, president of the Lenox Laser Corporation of Glen Arm, Maryland, had a rare opportunity usually reserved for high government officials. While at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel – the same hotel from which the term “lobbyist” was first coined by then President Grant – Mr. d’Entremont was able to meet some foreign dignitaries in Washington, D.C. for the G-20 Economic Summit. Most notable of these diginitaries was French President Sarkozy. This serendipitous event is underscored by the fact that Mr. d’Entremont’s ancestry can be traced back to 15th century France (Provence) and could possibly have an ancestral link to the popular French president.

Joe at President Reagan's funeral

A few Lenox Laser employees had the honor and the privilege to watch President Reagan's funeral procession and burial in Washington D.C.
A few employees interviewed CNN, MSNBC and other camera crews as they patiently waited for the funeral procession to begin. A video of their reactions can be watched here.
Mr. d' Entremont met Alan Greenspan, US Federal Reserve Chairman, and he presented him with one of our famous million dollar dimes for a commemoration of Reagan's funeral.
